Who We Are . . .

At Open Bible Baptist Church our motto is “Where the Bible Is an Open Book”. First and foremost, we see our purpose as that of proclaiming the truth of God’s Word, the Bible, so that people can come into a saving relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ and learn how to live for Him and glorify Him. You’ll find us to be a very friendly church with a family atmosphere where people truly care for each other. We invite you to come out to one of our services and see for yourself!

I Timothy 3:15 tells us that the local church is “the pillar and ground of the truth”, which means that doctrine should be important.  So, we are not ashamed to say that . . .

  • We believe in the inspiration of the Bible, that it is our final authority for faith and practice.
  • We believe in one God, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the virgin birth of Christ and His sinless life on earth.
  • We believe in the redemptive work of Christ through His death on the cross, His burial, and His resurrection
  • We believe that people are saved by the grace of God through faith in Christ as Savior, not by good works.
  •  We believe in the Rapture of the Church before the tribulation and in the Return of Christ to set up His millennial kingdom.
  • We believe in the responsibility of the local church to separate from sin and from false teaching.
  • We believe in the Genesis account of creation
  • We believe in the sanctity of human life, from conception to death
  • We believe that God made mankind both male and female
  • We believe that marriage is a life-long union between one man and one woman
